| Kingman to Oatman, Arizona
Take a trip through time as you journey down historic Route 66 on a 34 mile excursion that ends up in Oatman. Be there by noon on Saturday to witness an old West gunfight as the cowboys from years past have a shootout with the law. Who will be left standing? Buy some carrots at one of the many merchants and feed the wild burros that cruise the main drag or shop for antiques while you step back in time. The road may not seem long but the many turns will have you riding slow, watch out for debris in the road after summer storms. |
From Mother Road Harley-Davidson, head West on Beverly to Harrison. Take a left on Harrison and follow until it dead ends into Andy Devine/Rt 66. Take a right onto Rt 66 and head west again, going through downtown Kingman and make sure to take the left not far past the Powerhouse to stay on historic Route 66. Follow Rt 66 to Oatman Highway just under the I-40 and follow Oatman Highway all the way to the historic mining town of Oatman. |

| Hualapai Mountain Park & Lodge. Take a quick trip to get out of the desert and up to an elevation of over 7000' where ponderosa pine trees, juniper and pinion dominate the landscape. The lodge offers lunch and dinner in a unique setting. Elk, deer and other mountain wildlife viewing is common outside the huge picture windows. This is a relatively short journey but is well worth the trip with many sweeping turns that can have gravel on the road, especially after rains so ride with care. |
From Mother Road Harley-Davidson, head West on Beverly to Harrison and take a left. Folow Harrison until it dead ends into Andy Devine/Route 66 and take a right onto Rt 66. Take a left at Stockton Hill Rd / Hualapai Mountain Road (the road will become Hualapai Mountain Road South of Andy Devine/Route 66) and head 14 miles. Short but sweet. |
